Does anyone know what high cap. mags function the best in the Ruger 10/22? And which ones should I stay away from?
Also where is a good source for the best prices on them?

    Thanks

PS. Before anyone says GB as a source, If I have to go that route, I will email the seller after the close of a auction that has no bidders and get them that way.

I have a 25 or 30 round Ram-Line mag I have used since '81. It still works fine. I have seen some of these around but can't remember where.

I've had the best luck with the Butler Creek mags. The steel lip models are more rugged, but the plastic ones hold up pretty well.

I have used the Ramline 25rd steel-lips magazine before, it fed flawlessly in my cousin's 10/22. I must have shot hundreds of rounds with it for a period of two days straight. The only jams that occured during that time were a few "tubestacks" (round gets stuck sticking out of the reciever with the bolt grabbing it), these were most likely caused due to the cheap ammunition we were using and that we did not clean out the gun during that time period. I recommend these magazines, tough little things. Have to get my hands on a few myself when I start buying more parts for my 10/22 again.

I have some old plastic Ramline 25 and 50 rounders that are still working fine. The same ones I paid 15-25$ for are now around a 100 bucks. IMO no magazine is worth half the price of the gun.

Ramline or pretty much any steel-lipped mag.
Uwsed to have a few 30-rd all plastic mags, but every one of them split on the longitudinal seams after a dozen or so full loadings.
