I'm the original owner, purchased in late 90's, of a 10/22M, w/ Ruger's revised dual extractors, and have shot it only enough times to sight in the scope. IT IS LIKE NIB.

Any idea how much Magnum Research would charge to upgrade my 10/22M to the point the original brass extraction issue is permanently fixed. I've read Ruger's dual extractor fix didn't really fix it. If fixed by M.R., would the cost to fix it increase the rifle's value?

I bought one a couple of years ago, and I'm thinking that the price at that time was around $800 out the door. MR has supposedly fixed the problem, and I have had no problems with mine so far. First magazine did give me one FTF that pushed the bullet back into the case, but no problems since.

The $800 was for them to modify your rifle, or they sell a modified rifle for $800?

That was a new rifle. I understand that they will make mods to an existing rifle, but that all starts with a new barrel.

Contact Magnum Research Technical Support Department. You can do this by online (RA request form) or by calling 508-635-4271. The link is for the RA request form if you need it. https://www.magnumresearch.com/magnum-rma.asp

What the guy was asking for the gun isn't the same thing as what he will be offered! Or did he sell it for that amount?
