i have a ruger 77 that the bolt gets gritty in 2days hunting where it will start too bind have lightly oiled it. than tried rem dry lub! than rem oil real light! than hop#9 just wipe it on an wipe it off with clean rag. still does the same thing. #9 worked the best an the longest have even polished the rails lightly. isn't too bad if u work the bolt slow. any ideas for a fix will be app: thanks.

Disassembly and clean the bolt (well, the whole rifle) thoroughly. Lap the bolt raceway and lug recesses.

    Lubricate with a non-petroleum product.

My 77 works just fine after I lightly waxed the bolt and receiver with silicone auto wax. Of course, it depends on where you are hunting; I go to the mountains of Washington. 'Twerks here nicely without increasing the gap between parts.
