New to the forum. Can anyone tell me anything about the SR9. I had been hearing good things about them and when I ran accross one traded my P95 D/C for it . Two days later when I went online to register it I see the safety recall. Is this a good pistol or not? If anyone has one ,I would like to hear their experience with it.
    Thanks in advance

    Rugers are generally good pistols.

Since it's a brand new model, I'm not terribly surprised that there was something imperfect with it (in this case, it was that dropping the gun on the hammer would sometimes fire the round in the chamber, similar to how dropping a single action revolver on the hammer would do the same thing).

However, I expect this to be a small bump in the road for what is otherwise a very good pistol.
