I had a fella contact me about his red ramp in his smith falling out and it needs replacement. I know in the past that Brownells sold a mix that you dammed the sight and pored into the cut out in the sight. (with proper setup)
Can't find the stuff on there site. Anyone know if this stuff still exists. I remember my grandpa using this stuff on a custom 586 about 10 years ago.

Mix up some epoxy, put a drop of red food coloring in it and you should be good-to-go.

I don't think red food coloring willl work being water based, in epoxy being a polymer.
Red fiberglass gell coat dye will though. Small toothpaste sized tube, check the Marine stores.

Make sure it smells really bad, and has a really low flash point. My wife will love me for it.:D

Red paint in epoxy works just fine.

Get a bottle of red fingernail polish. Take your wife's best thimble and pour it full. Leave it in the middle of the dining room table to dry. Should take a few weeks. Once dry and solid, cut the thimble away from your now-solid block of red color. Take needle files and shape to the correct shape to fit the slot in the ramp. Make sure to do all your filing over a piece of paper, so you can catch all your filings. Dump them safely into a convenient ashtray.

    That oughta do it. :p

But, Bill's right. Red model paint would probably do better than food coloring.
