    Thank you for all the infomation. No need to rip up the carpet. I am going to anchor it in my washroom which has a concret floor and is in the midde of the house. :)

    It's more about fire and warranty than it is about anchoring.. but if you haven't bought a safe yet, it may help you decide.

    I did read the posts about the Cannon safe. That was why I was rethinking the Cannon. My old safe was a Cannon. My only issue with the Cannon is it doesnt have bars on all four sides, only three. I am leaning twords the Cannon again
