Went to use dads model 24 yesterday for some pest control. this has not been used for some time, probably 3 years. The darn thing didn't fire on either barrel. Anyone have any suggestions as to the problem? LGS says the firing pins seem to be moving.

Work the barrel selector back and forth several times to make sure it isn't hanging up in the middle.
Check the primers to make sure the firing pins are moving.
Visible signs of rust in the mechanism???
Spray CRC or WD-40 into mechanism and work barrel selector again.

Don't know what version of the Model 24 you have. The older ones had a button on the side that moved a transfer block in back of selected firing pin. I had one of those break and hammer does not meet firing pin. Newer ones have selector on the hammer.
