Greetings again,
I have a Savage Model 720 in my collection but I have no idea what year it was manufactured...
the serial number is located at the bottom where you load the shells and is 80247....
on the metal on left side opposite side of the loading slide is the letter "P" and below it is the US Army Ordnance symbol....next to that is says "U.S."...
on the right side of the barrel it states Proof Tested - 12 gauge and under that it says 2 3/4 inch Chamber...
on the left side of the barrel it says Savage the Savage Arms Corporation...under that it states Utica, New York USA Model 720 ****....
I have attached pictures but I do not have a good camera...
any help would be greatly appreciated....thx Steve
