Just wondering about the difference in accuracy between these two rifles. Form what I've read the savage is a little bit nicer, hence the higher price, but I was wondering purely accuracy wise what is the difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a tough one for me Trevor. They both have an accu trigger but the Marlin is a wood Monte Carlo stock which I love, but I already know the Savage is a tack driver. Looks like you need to get one of each!:D Just start a collection!

Haha I'd love to, but I'm afraid that's not financially possible at the moment, unless you'd like to make a donation! :D:D

    I have two Savages a .17 and a .22 they are awesome.
I can't talk bad about the Marlin, but it seems that the Savages are a fan favorite on the web.

Google "Savage Mark II vs. Marlin XT 22" and see what comes up, but don't stop at these 2, compare several. That is how I chose my 22's.:)

Yeah I did that haha, almost everything said you can't go wrong with either haha. I have narrowed my search down to these two already. I took a serious look at CZ, and looked at many other companies too.

trevor,i feel like a broken record on this, but always buy what feel right to you.guns are no different than anything else that comes in different shapes and sizes buy what fits you.the other thing is to buy more than one type and brand of ammo, get as many as you can afford and find out what your gun likes best. old semperfi

Yeah I know I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I was just wondering if purely accuracy wise there was a difference

it may be different from one gun to another re builder but it could vary from one gun to another.i have some rifles that are tack drivers but i have also had others that were identical but did not shoot as good. old semperfi
