Has anyone here ever had a chance to test the difference in accuracy between the 2? I have both but never took them on the same range trip until Sunday. I used to be from the school of "trigger/schmigger" thinking they can't be any better. I cleaned both rifle exactly the same. Used the same ammo from the same box. Same Caldwell shooting rest and the same target. I'll post pics in a couple hours since the target is at work. The result is impressive from 25 yards
If you know what you are doing, and not a novice shooter, the lighter the trigger the better the grouping. . . generally. So yes, the AccuTrigger is going to give better groups when it is adjusted to it's minimum weight. However, the AccuTrigger min weight, although fine for hunting, is still too much for competition shooting. For standing or 3P you will want a pull weight less than 16 oz.
My son has one with the acutrigger and loves it. He gets one hole groups like that all the time. The very light trigger pull Damon is talking about are the best for target by far but make the gun a target only gun.

Not really. You can lighten the trigger to ~14oz and still increase the AccuTrigger pull weight by using the tool Savage provides. That way you can adjust to minimum for target, and increase the pull weight for hunting.
