There are instructions here and there---do a search.
From memory: Striker down in fired position. Put the front end
in a padded vise. Pull back on the back end. See the wrench
flats on the part you exposed? 5/16" thin wrench, unscrew.
Now see the little e clip at the end of the spring? Compress
spring, remove clip, remove spring.
That said--2 hrs at 250° will NOT harm the spring. You are
at least 100° too cold to have any effect.
Think about it---the springs in a engine or transmission run
at 250°+ for YEARS with no problems.
