Hello. I inheirited a gun from my father-in-law and I would like to know if
any one can help me to locate a value. I was told that it is may be rare as one person said they go to many guns shows and have never seen one like it so that sparked my curiosity. It is a Savage model 420 16 gauge
over and under with 2 3/4 inch chambers. About 90% to 95% finish.
I would say very good condition. If any one can help me out I would greatly
appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for replying southernshooter...sure do appreciate it!! It has double triggers. I did find a site that was talking about wording and things on the guns like savage stevens or some thing like that. Mine just has Savage. I'm guessing may be from WWII time frame? My father-in-law use to own a gas station in the 50's and did some car repair for a gent who did not have any money so he accepted the gun as payment for his work. So don't really know how old it truly is. The serial number have five numbers and then an X at the end of the numbers. I appreciate any help you can
    offer. Thanks again!

Where did you find the serial number?
I inherited a Savage 420 from my grandfather. You asked all the questions I wanted to. Thanks to all for the info.
