    thought about getting the newer savage muzlerloader anybody have one.

    I do not know anyone that does. I see a lot of used ones in the local gun shops. I never see a used TC Encore - anywhere.

    I was thinking about one because you can use smokeless powder in them.
    I learned that may states require blackpowder or BP substitute - therefore it'd be illegal.

    The breech seems small to put a musket cap in fo my big fingers. It also looks hard to clean.

    Just don't automatically assume that you can use ANY smokeless powder in these rifles.
