If you bought the base/ring (cant recall what they call them,) but 2 pieces mount your scope to your receiver top. If that's the kind you bought, be sure and get those screws tight and a "dab" of loctite as well.
Once you mount your scope, one screw on each "piece" are HARD to get to!!!

They are not all this way but one of several that I have done was. So you may be lucky or maybe Ruger has gotten better with this (??).

I have a Volquartsenized 10/22 (heavy barrel, stock, trigger parts) that I did myself and it is a tack driver with ammo it likes. It most certainly is the Volquartsenized stuff as few 10/22's can shoot with it. But having said that a friend has a the target, top of the line, Ruger version and out of the box it shoots nearly as well as my Volquartsenized version.

Ha. nobody gonna come thru that door and if they do they deserve to be shot. thats the door to the master bathroom closet. its about 25 feet from my desk. I used the door handle to show off the scopes ability to focus at such close ranges. Thats why i love the adjustable parralax scopes and I am spoilt to the side focus knob over the adjustable objective. This scope will focus that close with full 12X magnification. It really makes shooting 1 holers at 50 yds easy.
