Does anyone make a Weaver or Picatinny rail for scope mounting on the Marlin 795?

I'm aware of the DIP Picatinny rail but how does it fit on that skinny dovetail receiver that's on the 795? I see that it says, "Minor fitting may be required"...what does that mean? It also says to mount the rail with part number towards the muzzle - that's beginning to sound like some kind of friction fit on the rifle's dovetail. (Not to mention the $30 bucks for that rail would cost more than the 3-9x40 Simmons scope I'm trying to put on there!) :(

Anybody know of a more economical Weaver Rail mount that's available?

    Thanks guys!
Juker - thanks but I already have the scope. I picked it up "used" (it was virtually brand new - still had the plastic sleeve/container it came in) for $20. And I have a set of low rings - but they're the Weaver style rings with the cross bar in them. So I figured if I could find a rail (either Picatinny or Weaver) then that would raise my "low" rings up enough to have the scope's objective (40mm) clear the rear iron sight on the 795.

Todd51 - so with the above explaination, you see why I was looking for just a rail. However, with the price on the mounting you linked to, I may just have to abondon the rings I've got and get that thing. As you said, ya can't go wrong with that price! :)

Glad I found this. I was about to buy a scope for mine.
