I went to use a pair of mounts I had laying around the house on my new purchase tonight and discovered that they are too big.

Does anyone know of anyone who makes scope mounts to fit?

Nope. Get some cheapie Weaver 1" tip-offs and compress them carefully in the bench vise. Doesn't have to go far.

Well, actually it is a bit more complicated but not much. You may have to remove just a bit of metal from the ring bottom to allow the locking plate to seat further inward. You may also have to alter the angle of the locking plate. Easier to see than to explain.

That's how I modified a set for my Romanian, Andrew -

It takes a little filing and bending of the locking flange, but nothing that can't be accomplished by a home gunsmith.

I have several "Kwik-Site" scope mounts for that rifle, but will need to know the bridge width, as they have two different widths........freakin commies!!!!!!

5/16" Assuming you mean across that raised thing on the action end of the rifle.

I'm not too good with the gun words.

Yep, across the top of the machined scope rail, should have very small cuts all the way down it on the top side. I`ll check and see if thats the wide or narrow one.......if it is the wide one, would you care to have a set?????? No Charge

    That's what I measured.

I'd love to have a set.
