Just looking for a rough guesstimate on the worth of a Smith and Wesson Mod. 41. My best guess is its in about 90% condition. Grips are perfect, all blueing is perfect, clip has no wear marks, barrel release and all operating parts are very tight. It does have one small (about 1/2") surface scratch on side of barrel. Thanks for any help!

Which barrel is on it? Weights? Cocking lever? Extended sights? 22LR or short? If you just want a proverbial guess, then 90% plain 41 in 22 LR is $375.

$375.00 is ridiculously low for a model 41. They regularly sell for a lot more than that. Check completed auctions on BrandX or Auction Arms. You can also get a realistic value by posting your question on the S&W Forum.

Without pictures I would guess that your gun should bring in a range of 600 to maybe 750 dollars. There was one on Guns America not to long ago that was very nice for $675.00 and it did not last long.

I second a retail price of $600 plus for a very good Model 41. In like new condition, it would bring around $800, more with the short barrel and extensible sight, or with the muzzle brake or weights.

    They are a wonderful gun.
