Sometimes I'm amazed...

You know how you meet someone and they are quiet and unassuming. They drive veterans in to the hospital from long distances for quite awhile, then you don't see them for a bit and then they start up again.

What's really amazing - you see them on the History Channel and they have more confirmed kills as a sniper than Charles Hathock. That's when you find out they still consult for the military now and again and that's why they volunteer for a bit and then you don't hear from them.

Man oh man who would of thought?

I've only got one question - what the heck does RVN stand for? Because that's who he was with I take it.

I've got only one thing to say in closing - god bless all of you who served.

    T,

"RVN" = Republic Of Vietnam Kiddo!

Unless you mean ARVN, which means/meant "South Viet Army"
of whom we were there to help!

Correct me if I've made any errors folks, but I is tired tonight!:)

Good to have several Admins along side me now, it's good for

Maybe it's a misprint on the info Tac but it did say RVN after his name. Has to be - he gets his treatment at the VA too.

Ah well confusion is my middle name.

    RVN?

T, is this fellow oriental or perhaps Indig.? if not, he may have been a contract man.

Must of been a contract guy Tye - cause he's definitely not oriental or anything that I recall. Been reading what I could on the internet - he's got 10 more confirmed kills than Carlos Hathcock. Name is a bit unusual but again not that odd.

Like I said to start out with - simply amazes me the people you meet and what they've lived through.

There are volunteers who have been prisoners of war, one man who was a pilot in WWII, Korea and VietNam and holds the Congressional Medal of Honor and the guy can't be more than 5'2". Nice man as well.

That's why I always try to take the time to say thank you to any and all who have or are now serving.
