Are all AR-15's made with a polymer lower or does someone make one out of metal even if it's a little heavier. My AK-47 is all metal and it's really not that heavy to me.I looked on the internet and couldn't find nothing about it.I kinda like the feel and look of my old all metal Ruger Mini-14 and it wasn't bad.I'm kind of a metal gun guy more than a polymer gun person.I know lot's of you guys that know these answers but sorry I'm new to knowledge about AR-15's.Could someone answer my question as dumb as it seems,I just don't know much about these guns.I'm starting to get an interest in these rifles and if I purchase one I want it to be metal not polymer.
Thank's for any info!
What is a manufacturer that makes the complete rifle with the carrying handle on top.I like that look the best.Hopefully in the $800-$900 range. Is Bushmaster the best?
Many fine AR's in your price range now. I would suggest you get a flat top and a detachable handle. That gives you the look you want now, but also the option to change easily to another optics option in the future.
Everyone has already answered, but it won't hurt to say it again, most AR lowers are manufactured out of aluminium. If you find a flattop AR you like, you can always add a removable carry handle to it.
I think Bushmaster lost a lot of quality when Remington bought them.Numerous failures that are quality control related on various AR sites.Good cheap ARs-DPMS,Ruger,Anderson,Palmetto.
All the gun makers from bushmaster opened Windham Weaponry ( my AR ). Lower is made from 7075 T6 aircraft aluminum. I read dozens of reviews on it before I paid for it. It's all I need.
I forgot about Windham,a good company and a great story.Man sells company, company is moved, man buys back machines, rehires all the good workers ,and starts producing a exc quality firearm.
Smith and Wesson and Palmetto State makes a good AR flat tops
You can buy. Carry handle sight for $40 and put it on or take it off and run optics
