Has anyone ordered of the 1916 Spanish Guardia Mausers from Samco Global Arms lately. I've been wanting one for a while to shoot light reloads in. I'm just wondering what kind of condition it actually might come in. I havent ordered much from them, and not sure what kind of reputation they have....

    Thanks!

    Minn-eeee-sota, ya, sure, you bet!
I haven't personally handled or shot any of these......however, those Spanish Mausers weren't built to take the pressures of .308 Winchester, of which you seem to be aware.

I guess it all depends of what Samco considers "good condition"....and how badly you want one.

Here's what somebody else experienced with the Samco Spanish Mauser:

For about the same money you can get a "very good" M48 Yugo Mauser (8x57mm) at Southern Ohio Gun. A fine gun, and a fine caliber at a nice price.

Thanks for the reply Xracer, I found one at a local shop, Its in good shape, so I'm going to purchase it. You're right about the Yugo-48, they are nice guns, but I have too many of them already
