It's been a big pocket pistol day here!
I get my .32 PP, and Jeff gets his Star .380.
It's a nickle plated pimp gun! Only cost $130.
    here's a pic:

life is the crummiest book I ever read, there isn't a hook, just a lot of cheap shots, pictures to shock and characters an amateur would never dream up-Guerwitz-1994

Congrats on the Star purchase! Hopefully it will function long and flawlessly!

I have been looking at those Manurhin PP32s also --- but my money is elsewhere right now!

The older Star Model S is a C&R (I have several Spanish Air Force marked ones dated 1946), but the Model MS Super is more recent and not a C&R.

The Star Model S is getting harder to find. I am not aware of any distributors right now that have them. Once in a rare while they pop up on auctions.

Can you help me ID a Star. It is Marked Star S.A. 9mm-380 It has super with no number stamped on the heel of the Grip no number. It is also marked The Garcia Corp Washington DC and the number 1306605 under Wash DC. The more I research the more confused I get. It has the loaded chamber indicator which narrows it down. I need to replace the chamber indicator part as it is broken. I have not located anyone with the part. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

From what I understand, the Star's are garbage. If I were you, I'd put it away, or try to sell it. The value is very low- maybe 200 or so. Don't quote me on that. I did not see it in one of my books.

It isn't a c&r gun. They have to be 50+ years old to be a c&r.

If you have no idea what you are talking about, why bother to post?
Stars are very fine guns. I believe the Garcia imported guns may be too young to be C&R.

I had heard that they were no good. C'est la vie.
