Although I went to rifle ranges as a kid for a number of years, and have hunted (rarely) as adult with old crappy shotgun, I'm basically uninformed about guns.. But I've developed a strong interest in owning a Stevens Favorite.

Recently I noticed a similar Uberti low-wall for about 2.5X the price of Stevens. Is the Uberti is worth the money?

Also----Is rolliing block same as drop block, and 2) are these designs strictly for nostalgia or do they have other virtues?

In higher powered cartridges, the rolling block is a considered stronger and smoother action than a drop block. However, in .22 rimfire, doesn't make a darn bit of difference.

If you want a Stevens Favorite, get a Stevens Favorite.....it's a neat little plinker. IMO, it's also an historic design, and as cute as a bug's ear! :)
