Thanks for lookin!! and thanks to all those who served or are serving! I was looking for any info on the stevens model 36. I just bought 2 for hunter education use and haven't been able to find much info anywhere on the net. these rifles have a rounded smooth block on the back side of the reciever/bolt, w/ a metal dust cover that slides w/ the bolt. any info or pics would greatly be appreciated!

I did try numrich but most of those are collectables. i did find the parts section for that model but no full photos just pics of parts or definitive features that i could say it is it for sure.

    I can't find a reference to a Stevens Model "36" anywhere.

Based on info in your post; this is my take:

I'll assume it is a bolt action .22.
The "rounded back" and the "sliding dustcover" feature belongs to Savage-Stevens Models 65; 73; and the 63K.
No "stevens" has both those features.

Google those; and see if one matches your 22's.:D
