Can anyone explain the difference between swaged and hardcast bullets. Do either excell in certain areas?

Swaged bullets are mode of soft lead and need to be kept at a minimal velocity to keep the bore from leading. Hard cast are made from a mixture of tin, lead and antimony to increase the hardness of the bullet so it can be used at higher velocity without barrel leading. Swaged should be kept at between 750 and 850fps. Hard cast can approach 1,000 fps.

Also swaged bullets are pressed into shape under pressure and cast bullets are made in molds from molten lead.
