Hi my brother in law and I recently found a swiss made schmitt-rubin sportierized 1896/11 rifle in our father-in-laws attic. My brother in law took the time to identify the rifle and has recieved some good advicw on swissrifles.com. My question is , the rifle looks as if it was rechambered for a .308 caliber, we are not sure and would like to send it away to anyone familiar with these particular swiss guns. I f any one knows as to where I might start my search, I would appreciate any help at all.

Also someone when they moved the barrel back when rechambered really messed up the stock cosmetically, any suggestions who I could contact regarding getting another stock made to fit this particular rifle?

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give. God Bless.
