Several years ago I purchased a system 1927, is there any way to learn when it was made. serial #72840. finish is fair, plastic grips show a lot of wear. shoots like an old 1911 that I had when I was a kid. Am very pleased with the gun, would just like to learn more about it.

    Welcome to TFF Buzzsr !!!!!

Be careful about giving out serial numbers. You never know who is lurking out there...

If you feel compelled to give it out, do this 6756xx.

You have an Argentine Systema Model 1927 made by their government arsenal.

The Modelo 1927 is a true Colt 1911-A1 copy made under license on Colt supplied equipment, and was supervised by Colt.

All parts should interchange with the Colt and USGI pistols.
