Do any of you guys post your targets to show off your best loads?
theres a few folks who regularly do work up's and show, and theres a heap in the archives if your a mind to look ..
You will usually find these photos under posts: "Range Report"
Yes, all the time. I even post target my boys have shot.
CZ 527 221 Fireball
Jason age 12
No fluke, he did it again.
Yeah, Targets are the only real source of information nobody can argue with or lie about and really are the last word....
I've posted targets and asked for opinions and it's cool how many knowledgeable people here can offer valuable advice, some merely confirming your own suspicions, some making you think about stuff you never considered.
It has been and still is invaluable to me since I am working with a new to me varmint rifle, and have little benchrest experience.
Even if you don't need advice we will give it anyway!
Along with the proper amount praise or abuse as necessary.....
These guys are all posting targets shot with rifles, here's a couple shot with a pistol at 20'. First one was shot with a .45 1911A, the second with a Bull Dog Pug DAO.
just wait carver. soon as I get home I'll post my one holers fired with my 1911 and my rem 5 .22lr
Now that im off the I phone and on the PC...
1st pic is two 5 round groups fired at 50 yds with my remington model 5 after an extensive ammo testing week to find what it likes... Its favored ammo is Aguila GE match rifle.
2nd pic is 16 rounds from my CZ75 CWC 9mm fired at 25 feet with 120 gr cast boolit handloads. Boolits were lubed with SBGO boolit balm, sized .356 and loaded over Hodgdon titegroup.
3rd pic is an 8 round group fired at 25 yds with my Taurus 'Mut' 1911A1. Handloads with Dardas cast 200 gr RN over 5.8 grains of titegroup.
Good shootin' Josh! I really like that squirrel gun accuracy! I haven't found the "right" ammo for mine yet, still looking! I'm pretty sure the rifle was shot benched, were the two hand guns also shot benched?
Dang Josh, those are fantastic. Shows you can not only make them but you can shoot them, handgun or rifle, and you didn't even post the results from the Savage.
Pistol, Dan Wesson PM-7 45 ACP 1911
Load, 200gr LSWC
Distance 25 yards
Bench and sand bags.
Pistol, Para 14-45 Double Stack
Load, 200gr LSWC
Distance 20 yards
Bench and sand bags
All 3 were form the bench. the pistols were shot off an improvised rest with a 2 hand hold. the rifle was shot off sandbags.
And I did put a group from the savage todd. it was the first one. the .589er at 200
but heres a couple more at 100yds, foulers and barrel warmups...
Good shootin there Josh. Got any targets from your 7.62x39?
PM me if you need more x39 brass.
No. I sold it. I gave the brass up for givaway this month. Bullshoot got it.
I didnt work with it too much. I started tinkering with savage actions and lost interest in the mini mauser.
Appreciate the offer tho. That brass is top notch. Definitely wouldnt wanna waste it in no AK or SKS fa sho...
Maybe someday Ill revisit the 7.62X39, but it will be with a .308 dia. bore. F that .310 business. there just aint enough options for it that are suitable to the little X39 cartridge...
