Ignoring it is a valid short term strategy. Very short term.
It ain't gonna work long term though, in fact ignoring it will accelerate the animosity towards the "O"

22WRF, that sign is absolutely freakin' great! I just about laughed my butt off and had to tell my wife about it... :D I figure we'll see the same mentality that existed in the early TEA parties surrounding media coverage of this event. One local group said that our 2nd local TEA party garnered only 2,000 people. Another group said it was more like 10,000, and they are traditionally liberal-leaning slobs. I have to imagine that the talk of 'judgement day 2010' is scaring the hell out of Democrats nationwide. Their office is going to someone else! :D

I think that if it were still me and the wife we'd have made the trip. With a 2 year old it's a bit harder. I got to teach the boy about crossbows, so it's not a total loss! :D

On the issue of bent Axelrod... Even people who voted for Obama are talking just like me now. I know folks who voted for Obama that are now madder than hell at what has taken place over the past 8 months. My grandmother, a lifelong Democrat, is having double knee-replacement under Medicare because she fears that she won't have the option by year's end. This situation is escalating and more people are joining the movement to slap down this socialist crap! I'm thinking about Lee Greenwood's 'I'm proud to be an American' in the background! :D

We went and it was great, I missed a good gun show for it, but hey.

I saw that sign and others like it. We really need to turn the heat up on the libs. Maybe 100,000 in fron of CNNs building in atlanta protesting would help. Dont know.

Given the crappy job the liberal-controlled "schools" do with teaching history, how many people understood the reference?

There are those people who, when they march on Washington, will be carrying something other than a picket sign.

Protesting is fine but perhaps it is time for something like "Atlas Shrugged". It would really get everyone's attention if all the small businesses (and large ones also) closed for a day or two and the owners explained to all of the employees why they were going to be out of work for that day or two. I think that might tighten a few sphincters and wake up some of the sheep. Show them that there actions can have an adverse effect on them.
