Glock does make a .380...HOWEVER - it has been included in a gun ban and cannot be imported to the U.S.A.

WHy should you buy a Glock? I think the better question is WHY NOT!!!

I'm wondering if these fans of the 1911 still drive a Model T Ford?

ISB - the why not is because of the trigger. I hate them. However my local gunsmith can swap it out for a normal trigger. ( I am wondering how legal/safe a gun is with NO safety is. )
I shot his G-17 with a normal trigger and loved it. I am currently looking for a 380,makarov, or 9x19. Just thought I might give Glock a chance.
BTW - not being a fan ------- are Glocks DA only, or DA/SA after the first shot? I couldn't feel the difference from first shot to last.

I'd almost give my left arm for a "T" in good condition to drive once in a while.

What constitutes a "Normal Trigger" is certainly open to debate?

You can get what is called a NY trigger installed on a Glock. If I got it right, they do not have a let-off point. It's a constant 5.5 pound pull all the way from start of pull to bang.

Glocks are neither SA or DA. They have something called a Safe Action. Which is why there is such a fuss in sport shooting - it really does not fall into either catagory - exactly.

OK. Most Glocks have a stock 7# trigger. After the first shot, if you let the trigger return about halfway (slowly at first) you can feel a click. At this point you can fire the second shot with a 3.5 pound pull. If you return the trigger all the way, the next shot will have the same 7# pull as the first.
