Took my Thompson to the range today!!

    At what elevation did you position the bipod when you shot that group?

    The bipod is a little long - I wanted the 9-13" shorty, but my cousin had this one 12-20". It was sitting at 12" off the bench, which was not bad for me, but my boy had to set a piece of wood on the chair to fire it:D He liked it though, once he got the hang of it...

    I like the 9-13 myself also. I am 5'10 in height, but have relatively short arms for a man my height, so it becomes even more important.
    Again, that is one gorgeous Thompson.!!!!:)

    .223 - I was using Blackhills 50 grn V-Max moly coated. I haven't reloaded for .223 (yet) it is sooooo plentifull

    Thats different lookin ammo?

    What'd you say it was "moly" coated?
    That a lube or something? Or just a type material...?

    BlackHills ammo - the moly coating is a dry lube, it is supposed to give a little higher velocities and keep your barrel cooler due to less friction....

    I've heard of Blackhills, everything I've heard is excellent and positive. I'll have to try it.
