transferring gun registration???

    ok, lets say i make a trade to someone how do we go about transferring my gun to this person and his to me???

    Depends on what gun, and especially what state. While in "most" states it's still legal to buy/sell a firearm with NO paperwork, some states require it for "some" guns. If your not in one of the commie states, a receipt with drivers license number on it, should be good enough, if that is your choice.

    Good call Ginga...I didnt think of that.

    I was, of course, referring to face to face private trades.
    We have a bunch of guys who get together at a friends shop on Saturdays, these guys will vary from Tac Narc/LEO right down to hoodlums like myself. :D Hanging out swapping and tradeing, no paperwork needed.

    Only if you want to, like between family it isn't. Besides, it'd cost you, at least, the dealers transfer costs.

    In Hawaii, you must BOTH go the police dept and do the paperwork, and you must already have the Permit to Aquire to complete the transaction..
