I have found that the bullet seater supplied with my RCBS set is not long enough to properly seat the bullets. I think it is the sharp point on the bullet that makes it make contact with the seater at a much lower point on the bullet. Does RCBS make a seater for this bullet? I asked Hornady and they blew me off and told me to talk to RCBS.

Has anyone else had this problem?

If you have .308 or 30-06 dies , use the seating plug from one of those . The 30-30 seating plug is for a flat or round nosed bullet . At least I think that might be a remedy !

I was going to recommend the same thing. I use my 38/357 wad cutter seater to seat 147g XTPs in 9mm.
