Which of the Russian manufacturing plants had the better quality firearms? Is there any difference in the two? I have heard that the Tula firearms are more desirable and were produced in smaller quantities. I have a Tula M1895 and my 91/30 is an Izhevsk.

The quality was about the same. However, some Russian firearms from certain factories will command a slightly higher price due to production figures there. It just depends on the model.

The only thing that I've noticed is that the stampings on the Tula rifles (91/30's) are a little bit better than the ones on the Izhevsk rifles.
