Two Patients

    Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the
    same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require hip surgery.

    The FIRST patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day
    and has a time booked for surgery the following week.

    The SECOND sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an
    appointment, then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another week and finally has his surgery scheduled for 6 months from then pending the review boards decision on his age and remaining value to society.

    Why the different treatment for the two patients?

    The FIRST is a Golden Retriever taken to a vet.
    The SECOND is a Senior Citizen on Obama care...

    Many years ago there was an old vet that I would call before filling a prescription, seams most meds (not all meds) are the same for humans or animals, only difference was the price. Can you imagine the trouble he would have gotten into in this day and age if he'd gotten caught?

    you left out the part where they buy defective hip implants cheap from china to save money then after 3-4 years the hips start giving way but theres no budget to fix it and so the patients have the get a class action together to sue the approvers and the makers
    and get no where

    this is live under socialized medicine and thats what obamacare is folks

    Faulty hip implant class actions combine
    Two class action law firms, Shine Lawyers and Maurice Blackburn, have joined forces to conduct a class action in the Federal Court in Sydney for over 1000 victims of defective hip implants.

    The implants are made by DePuy and imported by Johnson & Johnson.

    Shine Lawyers and Maurice Blackburn commenced separate class actions in the Federal Court of Australia in 2011 on behalf of all Australian victims. On 20 April 2012 the Federal Court in Sydney approved applications to consolidate the class actions.

    Ben Slade, Managing Principal at Maurice Blackburn NSW said: “A consolidated legal proceeding is in the best interests of all group members. It will allow a united approach to the serious claims being brought by so many Australians.

    “The Australian damages claim is estimated to be worth more than $200m. By joining the cases, there will be cost savings and by streamlining the procedures the court and the defendants will only need to respond to one set of claims.”

    Rebecca Jancauskas, Shine's National Special Projects Partner said: “Now that these claims are consolidated, DePuy and Johnson & Johnson should sit down with Maurice Blackburn and Shine lawyers and work through the detail of a compensation regime that will help all Australian victims. There is no reason for further delay.

    “Johnson & Johnson spent up to $2.9 billion in 2011 on product liability expenses and costs associated with the worldwide DePuy ASR Hip recall."

    Sounds a lot like NHS timetables too. That's one of the models 0 used for obamacare.
