That looks like a pretty old one, Smoky. Any idea of it's age?

you're right SG, not much info, however there is some under a John Unertl 8X scope, and resembles some of what's shown.

There is a link to a fellow that repairs them. Maybe you can learn something through him.

An interesting vintage scope it is!

Let us know what you find out.

The scope was sold as a " Small Game Scope"
Shown in 1972 Shooter's Bible as available in 3-4-6X at a price of $57.00. 2" Target scope was $168.00 on the same page.
I see lots more of the target scopes, currently from $400-600, than I do the small game scopes, but I like 'em.
Got one on my Stevens 441/2, another on a Low Wall, last one I (Stole) was 98+% for $100 (3X).
    Any help?
P.S. Winchester 52-D in the same book at $172.95; no sights, scope blocks included.
    Does this help?

I really got a 'nother Ben Franklin- Why don't ya just divert it to me, right now? I got another single shot rifle, crying for a scope, and this way, you get paid and don't even have to sight in!
Seriously, the optics need no excuse or apology.in any company. If the scope suits the rifle you mean to put it on,you could buy no better, and I am happy for you.
But, if you change your mind, let me know.

Don't sell it for anything close to a C-note; it's a lot better scope than that.
A-5 and 5-A winchester/ weaver straight tube scopes bring $250 plus, and the scope you're getting is a whole lot better than any of those.
But, I like it a lot.

From the picture, it looks like the adjustable base in the front one. Is that the case?

Darned sure better be. If not, it's like an Anschutz sight- you move the picture, instead of the bullet hole. Very confusing!
