    Good day to all,

I would like to hear ideas about the attached pictures. It's basically an Austrian made rifle, and from what it appears, made by Ferdinand Fruwirth in Vienna. Most interesting, is that it seems to have been made for a king, as indicated by the word 'konig' on one side of the barrel. I cant decipher what's written after that. The piece is inlaid with gold and engravings representing various scenes including william tell shooting an arrow on his son's head. Please take a look at the pictures. Thanks a lot for your opinion,
    ND

Suggest you contact collector and dealer Horst Held:
    http://www.horstheld.com/

He can correctly translate the markings and probably provide other info.
