Can anyone identify this ceremonial sword which is unknown to me...I bought it while in college as a costume accessory...it was made in Germany (stamped) and appears to have solid nickel handle with the steel tang passing completely through...thanks in advance

This is one I'm not familiar with. I'm pretty curious about it though.
    Masonic sword, maybe?

OK...I think I now know what this item is...as ID'd by Bruce Stauff (a knife collector of immense knowledge)...it's a sword issued to the guards at a world expositions...like the St. Louis Exposition...or maybe the 1901 Pan Am Exposition that took place right here in Buffalo...thanks for looking...thanks for trying
