I always used a ball puller on my ram rod. Quick and easy.

I have used the ball screw on the ramrod and I have used the CO2 puller. I much prefer the CO2 thingy.

The CO2 device worked well for me on percussion guns, but I always use a ball puller on the ramrod for my flintlock guns.

The NMLRA officials would have vapor locked if we had used a CO2 unloader on the primitive range. :D But it would have been great after a weekend of hunting and never getting a shot. Easy cleanup too. :)
