Had deer steaks last night. One of our favorite ways to prepare is this : put some flour on cutting board. Put steaks on flour. Sprinkle flour, garlic powder and black pepper on steaks. Pound steaks with the edge of a plate until flour pepper and garlic are worked into meat. Flip steaks and repeat. Fry in olive oil until brown.
I like cutting some deer steak into 1/2 inch cubes and rolling in flour, salt and pepper. They fry up nice and crisp. The dont get soggy like some larger pieces do. More like popcorn chicken.
thin sliced steaks
orange juice
sassafras tea or extract
worcestershire sauce
liquid smoke
garlic juice
brown sugar
black pepper
mix all together and marinate in the fridg over night
cook on low heat on the grill
btown - We're ALL comming to your house for supper! Man, that sounds great. My oldest brother's former mother-in-law used to cook venison that way, and she also served it up with thick milk gravy (heavy on the black pepper). You'd swear you'd died and went to heaven.
Now that sound like some good vittles. Throw in an skillet full of fried potatoes an some homemade biscuits To go with the venison an gravy,oh boy oh boy. Thats a good meal breakfast, lunch or dinner.......Redworm.......
