I helped man the 101st Airborne Assoc. booth for the Welcome Home Parade for Iraqi Vets in Union Station, St Louis, 1/28

On the video between 1.27 - 1.31, you can see me in the background

wearing a blue Screaming Eagle T-shirt, black cap and grey hair from under the hat.

After the way we Vietnam Veterans were treated.... this was a "Must Do" Mission for me.

That was way overdue. It's difficult to try and comprehend what's going on with folks today. In a post reply several weeks ago, I said something to the effect that today's military will wind up in the same boat as the VN era GI's. Nobody seems to care one way or the other.

I think it's pitiful when a story of someone shaking a hand at an airport makes news. The news should be, another huge turn out for the military returning to....and the parade drew citizens from all of the surrounding states. It was beautiful.

That single act should shame the rest of America who watches it. Sad.

Thank you for honoring our vets al. I shake the hand of every service member I meet. I respect them and believe vets deserve double honor for serving our country.
