    Interesting....

I need the serial number and the barrel length. This is not the typical pattern that I usually see, but I am not expert, by any means about these revolvers. The reference I am looking at list alot more variations of these than I had imagined. I am leaning towards a "New model express, large frame" as they had what is refered to as a birds head grip frame. If I am right it should have a 5 1/2" barrel. Value is $2,000+ for a mint 100% gun.

    Best regards, Kirk

    Mark IV Service Model. Boer War Version S# range 79462-129185. Mfg 1899-1914 Value $900 100% - $400 60%
From what i know Webley never made a 5.25in barrel. Most models were 4 inches until the Mark VI which was a 6in barrel
Oddly enough the barrel and the grips resemble the MKII and MKIII but these were transition guns. They did not have def new models with new designs, they slowly transitioned from one to the next so its not uncommon for a Mk IV to have the barrel of a MkIII in the earlier designs.
