Well, I just bought my first handgun....

    Hello folks. I just purchased my first handgun: Springfield 1911 .45 Loaded Stainless. I love it! Its so perty. Can't wait to fire this puppy. I enjoy reading your posts and threads. Keep it up, I'm just starin' my learning. Alex

    I bet so. Though, I have several buddies in their 20s and 30s who are huge 1911 fans, as well. They're timeless.

    Welcome to the forum WC. Congrats on your new gun. Don't take too long in getting that gun to the range. And for glocknuts sake get some pics posted asap or he will badger you all the way to your grave and perhaps beyond.

    You have to be very careful shooting that 45 WF, the recoil can break your wrist.:p You need to make sure your backstop is substantial, at least 10 feet thick, or the 45 will shoot right through it.:p

    He's only pickin! Welcome to the forum! There are a lot of .45 lovers here, you'll feel right at home. You know, I was just thinking, the very first hand gun that I ever purchased was a Ruger .22, the second was a .45.
