Loading .45ACP. I was totally focused, slow, and I took my time. I'm using my RCBS Hand Loading Primer Tool and I have to admit when I had my first high primer I was a bit nervous about putting it back in there and sqeezing a little harder. It all went well, though. I was happy on the squeezes when I got that nice little feel of a "glump" and knew it was seated properly. I had some where I didn't get that nice feel, though. I was hoping each squeeze was identical, which would help me learn that "feel" I read you guys talking about. Oh well, 80 rounds reprimed and thousands to go.

Wear some eye protection and keep that open case pointed in a safe direction and enjoy. I have yet to have that first primer detonate but I always work like it just might be the next one.

You are going to enjoy this.

Yeah, what todd said. It's my wife that gets nervous when I'm sitting on the couch with a cold one, watching a race and priming brass.

    I love reloading :)
I just went for the progressive press (as I knew the investment I made would pay off quickly)

I have crushed a few primers yet still have not had one detonate. Knock on wood!

    Enjoy and be safe.

I had one go off when it went into the case sideways and I pulled it out with pliers. I was gentle and didnt expect that. Glad I had glasses on. Congrats Wildcat on your first time.
