Well i went to the range last night, wife was taking a new shooters class and thought, you know i have a brand new pistol never been shot. So broke out the Ruger P95 and a box of FMJ and off we went. Firsat time i have shot a pistol in probably 15 years so wasnt expecting much but wanted to see how gun performed. Here you guys, all feedback is welcomed.

Jack, the target gave 5 for everything except 7s or out of center mass. I definately see room for improvement, and once i get sights adjusted and a little practice under my belt i hope to see better groupings.

Good shooting! Get those sights adjusted, and you're in business! All the targets used to be black, and white, I wonder why that changed???

    Thanks Carver,

it has been too many years, when adjusting combat style sights on a Ruger p95 what increment of movement would you suggest? Rear sight has allen set screw for windage but no incremental guage that i can see.

    thanks

Same scoring system we used in the Dept. Good shooting. Get used to closer range before moving it back out, and have fun!

3 yards one handed both strong and weak, 7 yards two hand, and a few weak hand, 15 yards two hand and 25 yards two hand slow fire...but work your way out. :)

Hmm, total rouns was originall 56, including 6 practice rounds, scoring area was the 8 ring of a B-27, and passing was 210, total possible was 250. 240 to 249 was Expert, 250 was Distinguished Expert. I don't have the course of fire handy right here, but it's the old AZ POST standard, 6 rounds at 25 two hand, 6 or 12 at 15, and the bulk was between 3 and 7. The off hand stuff was all at 3 yards, and the mag change drills, (tactical and stress), were both at 7. Been a while. :)
