it is not a complete firearm, but this upper is far better in accuracy than my 10/22, Rem M-51 and two other .22LR rifles.

you can use Ciener mags or the best one is the "Black Dog" mag, it is a full size mag that looks like the 30 rnd. AR-15 mag.

I bought a 10-22 years ago and need to rebarrel it and restock it too. I have two Browning telescopic sights hanging around: a 4 power and a 3x9 zoom. I think I will put the 4x on the 10-22 when it grows up. Ibought it off a trash/treasures store where they offered to include ammo with each gun sold. He was out of 22 ammo so he tossed in 3 boxes of 38 special rn with the gun which cost either $29 or $39. I also bought a .36 caliber black powder revolver from him for about 30 and got 3 more boxes of 38 sp

But my favorite "rifle" is the Medalist whichI love using at the hundred yard distance at the range. I wish I could make a removable stock for it. ( I bought it with no ammo but it was list price when list was 125.00)

Amazingly 125 was prolly more in current dollars than the thou or so for a collectors piece.
    Take care

For strictly fun shooting (plinking, etc.) it's a 10/22; for accuracy it's any Anschutz.

My fav is the one I have 10/22 stainless (just got it used). It is changeable, upgradeable, and can be as unique as I am. I've had it for about a week and a half. First LR I've owned. We had a really calm day out today. after zeroing the scope I put 3 shots in the bull, all overlapping each other ( at 50 yds). Not bad for out of the box 7 years ago with no mods.

My avatar is a 88' Toyota 4runner shortened 16 inches, chopped, tubed, 529 gears with Detroit lockers front and rear, twin t-cases courtesy of Marlin Crawler. Final drive ratio 100:1.

Gee I don't know why anybody would want to modify something you can buy off the shelf.

Bought a Ruger 10/22 way back about 25 years ago. Put a 25 round banana clip on it and went to town on a wily and challenging foe, namely the California Grey Ground Squirrel. I roamed hill and dale in search of my cunning prey. Never used a scope. Always had a pair of binoculars, and when I had him fixed, nailed him with open sights. These shots were always at a range of 50 yards plus. Now those hills are subdivisions. I guess that's progress. TJ

Let's see....is it my Winchester 75? My BSA Martini MkIII? My Savage-Anschutz Mark 10? My Mossberg 144 LSB? Perhaps my Remington 513-T? Or maybe my Stevens 416? Why not my CZ 452 Lux?

I guess my favorite .22 is the one I am holding.;)

    First post here!!!

My favorite is my BRNO Model 2.
This was my father's rifle. It is very very accurate. It was made in 1956 in Czechoslovakia by Zbrojovka BRNO N.P.

I have compared it with my Winchester semi-auto .22 which is also very accurate but the BRNO is far superior in accuracy IMHO.

The ant in the second photo just happen to be there... it is not intended as comparison :D

I still have a Browning BL-22, grade 1 I bought in 1982. It's in about 99% condition. Looks great, shoots the same!

My favorite .22 rifle is my Savage Model 29B. I got it for Christmas in 1960. It still looks great and shoots even better. Don't need no stinking scope either. I remember years ago walking through a hayfield with my buddy and way up ahead there was a solitary dandilion sticking up. I stopped and raised my Savage. He started to laugh, and I fired at it. For a second nothing happend, then the dandilion slowly fell over. HAH!
