Mr kieth once used his 6" model 29 with 245 gr cast bullets over 22 gr Herco 2400 to shoot a wounded mule deer at 600 yds. And he hit it, not once, but 3 times.

Great picture Gary. That is one beautiful revolver and the loads look perfect. Sounds like you are headed to a fine time and I am jealous. Have a good one.

Nothing spectacular...Got a pork roast on the smoker/grill for tomorrows game snack...pulled pork...So while thats a slow cookin' Ill prime up some cleaned and prepped .45C...

I wasnt real happy with the amount of smoke I got from the Schultzen FF and FFG last week...Not much more than the synthetic subs...I have a can of Goex I shall try for the next BP adventure...The more smoke and flame the better..

Just finished with 200 .44spcl, and 100 .45ACP LRN. Got some more .45ACP brass in the cleaner. Got to looking at my supplies, and I ain't happy! Running low on bullets, and brass! I really need to hit a show in Dallas! Can't buy much around here.

The smoke from schutezen or goex - will be nearly equivelant to subs. Generally a little more. However the flame will be much more previlant, then there is the wonderful aroma the true powder has....it's better than the smell of napalm

I cleaned cases for a trade I have in the works.

Working on 1k of 40 S&W brass I bought mail order, Federal, that darn NT stuff. I really hate that stuff, if I knew what I was getting I would have gone else ware. I got it cheap though, so I’ll just remove the primer crimp and stop complaining.

I was priming .45 auto brass the other night and ran into those pesky small primer cases. Turns out they are from four boxes of new Federal Champion 230gr. FMJ RN I got to break the Ruger in. Nothing on the box to indicate they are something different and the case head stamping are just the normal Federal 45 Auto you would expect to see. They were on sale for $16.95/50 so I just picked them up and went on shopping. Surprise, surprise when I tried to put a large pistol primer in them when they got mixed in with the rest of the brass. Guess I am going to half to open every box before I buy in the future. Is this going to become standard or what?

I picked up several hundred rounds at the range last month when renewing my CCW. Came home dumped em all in the viberator. Then discovered that the small primer cases are all mixed in with the large! I'll have check each one, and seperate them. Might throw out the small primer cases. I have plenty of the standard.

Spent the last couple of days loading up, 500 rds of .38 DEWC, 200 rds of .45ACP lead RN, 200 rds of .44 mag. I got the vibrator going with about 200 more .38's, and found a new unopened bag of .44spcl. I guess I'll spend a few hrs. in there again tomorrow.
