i have a 1897 in 16 gauge in near mint condition serial range around 500000 i have an opportunity to buy one in rough shape serial number 300000 range and another one 150000 range that has been stripped and almost looks like a chrome but i think it's just been stripped other than that real nice shape. do you guys have any idea what any of them are worth or if anybody would want to buy any of them. thanks again, nick

Hello choukalos, let's see if any of what I know helps. ;)

    First off, the price ranges from 10% -100% = $125.00 - $850.00

There were 1,024,700 mfg. between 1897-1957

The early 16's were chambered for a 2 9/16 shotshell (less valuable).
