I have the first gun my father purchased back in 1937. It shoots sweet but has a very stiff trigger. The Winchester 67 is simple, single shot, manual cocked 22 lr which is close to being as accurate as my 52C. The trigger is simple powered by a simple flat spring. Any advice or just leave it alone? Would improving it affect the value?
1. The winny 67 and 68 have no value except to the hyenas who break them up for parts on ebay.
2. And I love mine.
3. Which spring are you talking about? The flat sear spring that goes through the stock lug? Not much you can do about that one.
4. Are you sure it's the spring? Maybe the trigger is hanging up in the slot, or yhe pivot pin is grabby. Is everything else smooth and clean?
5. You could make a new spring, which wouldn't affect the originality at all (if you keep the original).
