Ok, here is the scoop. My father-in-law has a Winchester Model 190 and was wondering what its value is. The problem is I cannot find a Win 190 in my 2007 Standard Catalog of Firearms! Am I just blind and/or stupid (be nice now) or am I missing something here!!!!!

    !!!HELP!!!

Not really sure. He didn't say and it's been a while since he brought it up and he is in the planning stages of moving to the lower 48 . . . .

It is a semi auto .22, but I do not beleive it will fire shorts. I own one but it has been a while since I read the barrel. i just buy a brick of LR's and plink away.

The Mod. 190 shoots Long and Long Rifle cartridges.

This is a very unusual Winchester in that it is of virtually no interest to collectors and is worth very little. On the other hand, it's a nice little rifle, very dependable and fun to shoot.

Very true. I really like mine and am sure it will be my sons first rifle when he is old enough to shoot it.

i love the winchester 190... around here a decent one goes for around 175-250 depending on condition and who has it.

they were made from 68 to 80, cool little guns, the one i currently have in possession is quite accurate

this is johnlives4christ, had a sign in mix up

That rifle was sort of the victim of its own success; there are so many of them that they have zero collector interest (even given that .22's in general are not often in the collector category), so they get forgotten in the books.

The prices given are about right, IMHO.
