    Gentlemen;
I acquired many years ago a Winchester Model 61 Rifle . It has been sitting in a closet
wrapped in a towel for the better part of 50 years. The stock looks as though it might have been “customized” by the addition of a diamond shape on each side of the stock.
Other than that everything looks original. There is some surface rust,
    but no pitting.
Bluing looks good, some surface ware on the barrel and feed tube. Some scratches on the receiver also. I have other photos, but unsure on how to upload them. The serial number is 234706. Would anyone know what a dealer might offer for this gun? Thank you for any info you might have.

An educated guess would be three to four hundred dollars. It pretty well has lost its luster as a collector piece but it is one of the best pump guns on the planet as a shooter.

If you are trying to sell it put a price on it and I would think it would sell right here.

I think 3-4 hundred is high.A dealer might offer two to two fifty.

those diamonds are where white inserts were placed. looks like they fell out. this was considered vogue in the late 40's early 50's.

The barrel is marked Winchester Model 61
    Trade Mark
    Made in U.S.A. .22 S.L. or L.R.

Would anyone know what the procedure would be to sell
the gun on this site? Thank you again for any replys.

    Hi again,
I found the answer to my question about selling on this site.
A little search thru the different menus jumped out right in front of me.
    Thank you for your help.

I'm with muddober on price. It has lost it's value as a collector but would make a great shooter. It looks like it has a grooved receiver for scope mounting and that is a plus. I think it would sell in the 3-400 dollar range. The nice ones in collector condition are going for around $800 and more in this area.

On the open market you MIGHT get 3-4 hundred but you asked "what a dealer would pay"
That would be what I said.
